Back in Time

The hands of time have, yet again, proven to be mounted with wings that flap tirelessly; carrying with them the hours from dawn to dusk at warp speed. So I'm posting in the past this morning.

3 weeks ago the kids strapped on new tennis shoes and took their first steps into their preschool classrooms. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 3 I leave Jayden and Zach in the loving care and tutelage of the Bethany Christian staff. Their minds are being filled with Spanish, Science, Music, Language arts, Creative crafts, outdoor play, and most importantly with the knowledge that the Creator of the Universe loves them, and cares for them.
One of the 4, yes four, students in Jayden's class is Paul and they have been buds since VBS two years ago.
Zachary has 2 of his best buds in class...Taylor and Charlotte

Where's Ollie?

I must ask over 100 times a day, "Where's Ollie? or What's Ollie doing?". A couple of weeks ago Zachary answered "he's out front running to the street". That's when we learned that Oliver could open the side gates! Barricades have been erected and the backyard is now an escape-free zone. Yesterday I asked myself the where's Ollie question and here's where I found him.

Go Gators!

You may know him as 'AJ'.
My kids know him as just plain 'Uncle'.
But I know him as 'Andrew'.
He is my older brother.
He is my friend.
And he is amazing in so many ways.
He is perhaps one of the most talented musicians, song-writers, and performers God ever created.
He is an intelligent philosophizer, and overall brainiac.
And he can throw a mean fastball.

The 3 tumbleweeds and I ignored the searing heat and headed to the dreaded Valley so we could catch Uncle Andrew's stellar performance in his last Baseball game of the season for the Burbank Gators. I'm not sure of the final stats but we witnessed him crack out 3 base hits and an inning as closing pitcher.
